Previous versions of Windows (...95, ...98, ...ME, etc.) made a small sound
(like a beep) when I changed between regular upper and lower case typing and
all upper case. The current version (XP with SP 2) does not make the sound.
Since I am not a very good typist I'd like the sound so I can prevent those
mistyping errors - in non Microsoft Word (or equivalent) programs.

Where would I find such a file?

Thank you,

Barry Karas

To turn on this option, first go to Control Panel and click on the
Accessibility Options icon. On the keyboard tab, check the box next to "Use
Toggle Keys",
click OK and you are done. Now try the caps key.

Personally, I never use the caps lock key on purpose, and to avoid
hitting it by accident, I have it turned of altogether.

If you would like to do the same, try using SharpKeys at
http://www.randyrants.com/sharpkeys/ I use it to turn off the two keys
I never want to use: Caps Lock and Insert.
