Hello, I just did a change on an older computer from spanish to english via the use of an XP reinstallation disc. The disc is from my old er dell dimension 2400, the computer that recieved the change was a compaq presario 5000 series. All seem to go well
but now I can't use IE6 which is on the computer now. I tried msn exp as well but both crash after a minute or so after connecting to the internet. I tried to upgrade to IE8 but get an iesetup.exe entry point not found.SHRegGetvaluew could not be found in
the dll. SHLWAPI.dll. I tried to turn on automatic update but it does not seem to work. I also tried to download 3.1 3.5 net framework then sp2 but I have had no luck. The compaq does not have a floppy drive but has a dvd burner and a regular rom.I have tried
to donwload sp2 on another computer and burned a copy but the compaq want sp2 installed before I can install from my disc. Go figure? I am stuck now Help, Thanks Bud....
