Trade your 2400 baud modem in on a 33.6 and you'll really see the
difference!

CBS does not have nightly news, they have evening news with Katie Couric
NBC has nightly news..with Brian Williams...And I checked both and have no
problems with them...I am using a cable modem...win xp pro sp 2 on ie 6.0

I'm currently using an Actiontec GT704WG for about the last 7-8 months and
have had this problem of buffering at CBS news for the last couple of months.
I don't have this problem on any other website (Meet the Press for eg). The
commercials come off fine and it does not happen all the time with the news.

A tracert would tell you whether there's a bottleneck somewhere between
you and the CBS site. That would explain a large amount of buffering,
but, unless the slowdown is very close to you, there's nothing that can
be done about it. Run a tracert any time it's slow to see if there's a
reason for the delays.

Compare to these DSL speeds. Of course, that was at 5:00, not in the
evening when many people are downloading this and other programs.

To run a tracert, click Start, Run, type:

CMD (Press Enter)

type:

TRACERT CBS.COM
