Cant´t install hardware

I have a Fujitsu-Siemens notebook four years old, but quite fast. When I was
going to install en newer verion of Norton, I couldn´t uninstall any program
in th e control panel and I used regedit to delete every thread and key with
the word Norton and Symantec. Afterwards XP didn´t work properly, and I
formatted the Hard drive and installed XP from the Recovery CD. Afterwards I
tried to install the drivers from teh driver utilities CD, but the graphic
card, audio card and modem was not recognised. I tried to install the drivers
from Fujitsus home page, but they could not be installed. Some files were
missing during installation. I have tried to get a driver from ATI (radeon
9000) but it can´t recognise any suiting graphic card. The Smart Link modema
can´t be redogniezed either, when I try to install that driver. And the same
with the soundblaster driver. The screen looks allright, but there´s no sound.
When restarting VGA and modema are recognized, but can´t the drivers can´t
be found.
Any suggestions?

You messed up by getting too technical, you should NEVER attempt editing your
registry to remove a program, do some looking around for a removal program
for whatever you're attempting to remove. Now that you've screwed up the OS,
You will have to find the drivers for the hardware, and that takes knowing
the inside of your pc and what hardware is installed.
This is not meant as a negative nor a putdown to you personally.
Words of advice only, don't get in a hurry, take the time to do the research
first.

You should be able to find the drivers for your hardware on the net, 4 years
is really not that old, so they should still be around.

The recovery CD should have provided all the drivers during the recovery.
If not, its not a recovery installation, but just an XP installation.

Your recovery disk(s) should provide all that you need. If you don't have all of
the complete information to perform a proper recovery, have a look at:
