Can't transfer files from C to D. Low disk space in C

My D sdrive has tons of free space in it. But my C is dangerously low. I've
transferred as many files from C to D as the system will let me, done as much
defragging as my C disk space will let me and I only have 628 mb of spcae
left on the C. How can I transfer more files out of C

Each user can drag the My Documents folder anywhere.
Allow each drive to have it's own recycle bin, and empty the C: bin.
Set your %TEMP% to D: (start/run, type:
sysdm.cpl

It is likely that an allocation of 12% has been made to System Restore
on your C partition which is over generous. I would reduce it to 700 mb.
Right click your My Computer icon on the Desktop and select System
Restore. Place the cursor on your C drive select Settings but this time
find the slider and drag it to the left until it reads 700 mb and exit.
When you get to the Settings screen click on Apply and OK and exit.
Restart your computer.

There are a number of other ways to create more space on C but you need
to tell us what you have already moved.

Open Disk Defragmenter and click on Analyse. Select View Report and
click on Save As and Save. Now find VolumeC.txt in your My Documents
Folder and post a copy. Do this before running Disk Defragmenter as it
is more informative.

Select Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk CleanUp to
Empty your Recycle Bin and Remove Temporary Internet Files. Also
select Start, All Programs, accessories, System Tools, Disk CleanUp,
More Options, System Restore and remove all but the latest System
Restore point. Run Disk Defragmenter.

you can right click
on the "my documents"
shortcut then via its
property page, select
the d drive to relocate
it and all the contents
from the c.

then another thing is:

you should run
disk cleanup to
remove the junk
files from the drive.

click start>run>cleanmgr

then when you get a
chance and time, defrag
your drives, since you
have reorganized your
files via the above.
