After installing SR1 I am unable to save any documents in the Office family.
This is particularly annoying as it really hinders my ability to conduct any
work on my computer. Anyone got any suggestions

Windows version? Office version? What's "SR1"?

Still confused: Are you telling us that both Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1, not
SR1) and Office 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) are installed? If so, did the
problem start after installing Vista SP1 or Office 2007 SP1?

<pulling teeth> Well, are you running Office 2007? Has Office 2007 SP1 (not
SR1) been offered to the machine by Windows Update? Have you ever
checked-in at Office Update (http://office.microsoft.com/officeupdate/)??

The above notwithstanding:

Unlimited installation and compatibility support for Vista SP1 is available
at no charge through 18 Mar-09

I am running Vista Enterprise with SP1 also I have updated Office 11 (2007)
to SP1 and I cannot save anything on Office OR openoffice for that matter.
Everything is up to date and legit.

Makes me think if its worth persisting with this Vista Crap and go to OSX
10.5. At least I can save my documents and dont have to debug for poorly
written code.
This has happened to my college as well... He has completed a complete
reinstall of office and still no satisfaction..
The party is over Microsoft!
