can't run checkdisk

technophobe

Checkdisk wont run because it says it needs exclusive access so I should
restart but doing so doesn't solve the problem. Have defragged, run disk
cleaners etc (adaware, advanced system optimizer, ashampoo) with no results.

Hi,
Try to use the Recovery Console and type this command on the command prompt:
chkdsk /r Hit Enter and wait for it to finish then type Exit to exit the
prompt command and reboot the machine.
