Hi,
In XP Professional, I get an error message when trying to print from
Outlook (messages which aren't plain text) that says: "an error has
occured in the script on this page. - line 228, char 1, Error: class
doesn't support automation, Code: 0, URL: res//C:\Windows
\System32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg". Printing is unsuccessful.

Also, getting an error message in Internet Explorer (6) that says
"Error: Automation server can't create object"

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide,
Louis

Open a run command and type in:
Regsvr32 ole32.dll click [OK]
Reboot your machine and see if you can print.

Cannot Print in Internet Explorer if Surfairy Is Installed

Thanks for your help. That procedure said 'successful,' although
after a complete reboot, I still get that message during print preview
in IE and print in Outlook.
I found this article (http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/email/cannot-print-
emails-1804-2.html) on a forum, with a link to a zipped file which
contains registry imports. Rather than risk importing unseen files, I
wanted to see if there was anything I could do 'by hand.'
Thanks,
Louis

Thanks,
That did the job, and now it is printing satisfactorily. Is there
documentation for possible causes of this?
When I ran these dll files, what exactly happened - were they
refreshed in the registry?

Thanks,
Louis

Glad to hear it worked for you.
Sometimes these DLLs can be damaged/corrupted for some reasons, by
re-registering the DLLs you correct/ Repair these files.
