Laptop: Dell Inspiron
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit w/ Service Pack 1
I'm having issues with installing/uninstalling programs and have to keep using the Windows Installer FixIt to install or uninstall. However, I can't seem to use that for Windows Update. When trying to update Windows I get error Code 800704B3.
I've run the following fixes as indicated on Microsoft's web site: "Windows Update Diagnostic Tool" AND "Reset Window Update History" AND ran the registry fix that you copy into Notepad and then run. NONE of these fixes have worked!
I'm running Avast anti-virus software and have done a fully system scan as well as a boot scan. I don't know what else to do, and I currently have 73 windows updates that need to be installed. PLEASE HELP!
