can't get videos to play

that has everything built into it and it can play almost ANY video or audio
you can throw at it!

Rubbish, I have hundreds of videos on my PC, not one is encoded with divx.
They are nearly all MPEG2.
 
not the ones that are found on "torrent" and other P2P networks

Why don't we all compromise and agree that knowing the file extension would
tell us a lot about any given video? We could probably make educated
guesses as to codecs used once we know the file extension. =)
