Performed a Manual RESET on the Windows Update components...skipped step 4 (as recommended in procedure) because this was my 1st attempt .
Changed directory to... cd /d %windir%system32
Reregisterd BITS and WinUdate files...2 files Not Found
The two files are: (regsvr32.exe mshtml.dll) and (regsvr32.exe
wucltux.dll)
Received "Command not found" on ...c:>netsh reset winsock , also on ...c:WINDOWSsystem32>netsh reset winsock
Rebooted PC ... Still get same update FAILED message when trying to update from MS Update site.
