can't get permission to connect to printer

I was called into an office that had their server die. They decided
not to replace it, just go peer-to-peer. Some systems had been logging
onto the "mycompany" domain and some had been logging onto the
"mycompany" workgroup. One system that had been able to print to a
printer on another station can't. I checked that the system with the
printer had it shared, that full permissions were allowed for anybody.
When I go to the remote station if I try to open the printer it says
it can only show me the security tab. I tried to make a fresh
connection but either through network neighborhood or through finding
a printer it asks for my logon and password but it won't accept any I
give it. I am logged on as an administrator. I try the remote logon
and password, the printer station logon and password. Nothing. These
stations had been logging onto the domain so I changed them to log
onto the workgroup. Same results only now when I try to reach the
printer it pre-fills in the name as guest and won't let me change it.

The remote station can't get to any shares in the network. The print
system can still get to shares on the network. A couple other stations
that used to access this printer and which always logged onto the
workgroup can't get to the print station's shares either. Is there
something else about no longer being on a domain I need to adapt to?

Thanks
