Standby option is not present in my computer.I've even tried to enable
it in the control panel-->power options but there's no change. My
friend suggested that I change the bios settings but I don't know
how.My bios version is 2.01(Award modular bios). Please suggest me some
remedies.I'm using Windows XP service pack2 version 5600,pentium 3
processor 451Mhz,128MB RAM.

Click Start - Turn Off Computer - check is there Standby available but greyed
out. If yes, then what you need is to install your VGA (Display) Drivers from
your Motherboard CD or you can download them from your motherboard/display
card manufacturer's website.

If you have already installed the drivers and still the Standby is disabled
then try this:

Hope this help, let us know!
