Hi, just bought a usb 2 bus card which is supposed fo be compatible
with a computer with usb 1.1.
When I tried copying a movie file from my laptop to my ext hard drive,
something wierd happened. When I checked to see if movie file
transfered ok, some other movie i had plays instead.
I tried it with other clip and the same thing happens. So I delete all
these clips, but restored one of the clips because i might need that
one .After I changed the name, i realized I didn't need it after all.
But when I try delete it, an error box appears saying the file or
directory is corrupt or unreadable.

I read somewhere that the ext. drive might be failing. I hope not!
I'm hoping it was caused by the usb bus card or some procedure , and
that my ext. hard drive is ok.

How can I get rid of this file safely?

Save all files and folders from the external disk to your internal
disk, check that they are really there, then reformat the external disk.
