So there's this bunch of folders under my user name, my video, my
documents, my videos and so forth. And when I click on them I'm told
I am not allowed to see them. so what it going on? (I also have
folders called Documents and videos that have stuff I pulled over with
synctoy, and I can see them.)

I also am not allowed to see the send to folder, yet that is what I
normally use to put shortcuts in I want to be able to send files to.
What gives? I'm the administrator, user, owner the whole nine yards
and I can't even see my documents?

Hi,

Don't try opening anything that begins with "My..", they are just junction
points that are normally hidden (you have apparently changed your folder
options to see hidden and system files). They are only there for backwards
compatibility with older software that is hardcoded to look for them. Under
Vista, the user data folders are simply Documents, Music, Video, etc., with
no "My" in the name.
