Firstly hi to all, my problems is i cannot open any programs, if i left
d/click or r/click it just sends programs to the taskbar and from there i can
only close or maximize them but they disapear off the screen, it happens from
the start menu and desk top, thank you for taking the time to read, kind
regards Rob.

Hi,

I am assuming that you are running WindowsXP since you are posting in
this Newsgroup.
What I would suggest is boot into safe mode and run a complete Virus
scan to see if it could be causing this issue.

How many days ago did this problem first occur?

You might try System Restore in Safe Mode and use a restore point from
before the problem first occurred.

Hi Rob,

See if line 12 helps: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
Without knowing more, also run line 164.
