| I am sitting with exactly the same problem and this is my findings:
| AVG anti-virus, does a scan, and it detects an autorun.inf "virus" and a 2fitri
| something file. Obviously one removes it as it is melicious.
| I have noticed that the moment this has been done, you get a problem: If you double
| click on any of your drives in my computer, it brings up a screen "open with". You can
| access the drives in all otherways but not through "my computer" with a double click.
| Does anyone have a solution that could actually work? -- Snarfie
Since you posted throught the BS interface called
http://forums.techarena.in to the real
Microsoft News Groups instaed of accessing them through a news client and failed to quote
the orginal thred, we have no idea what you are talking about whan you wrote "I am sitting
with exactly the same problem ...".
You have malware that spreads through the AutoRun capablity of removable media. All your
Read/Write media such as Flash Drives *must* be cleaned or you risk re-infection or
spreading the infection to others.
Did you try rebooting your PC before you click on a drive in Explorer you actually browse
said drive ?
If not, please do so.
