Can;t install WinXPx64 SP3 or SP2 Service Packs

I installed and activated WinWP x64 but could not get into Update, was advised my copy was too old and I needed to update to SP2 or SP3 and was sent links for same, both files have been downloaded and tried and both files fail with same Error Message,
&quotupdatebr.inf file is invalid&quot..I am a loss where to go for help on this one.
