Windows 2003 can not start Windows 2003 server. Pls help

The screen of 'Preparing network connections....' is sitting there forever.
What can I do?

Hello yifli,

Did you change something before, upgrades, patches etc.? Try out Last known
good configuration or safe mode.

I did not do anything like installing upgrads or patches. I'll try safe mode.

unplug the network cable and try again, i could be that it's trying to apply
something from the network at startup.

hello,

9 times over 10, it comes from a bad network configuration:
-Bad DNS (not a DC dns, or a dc not having itself as primary DNS)
-Two network cards, but the main one not primary (in the advanced tab of the
network pane)

any eventlog entry (error...) ?
