Hi,all.

My previous installed CPU is AMD XP 2000 and the motherboard is the
corresponding motherboard, I have backuped my customerized images for the
system and installed application software previously. Now I changed the
hardware, CPU as INTEL CORE E420, and motherboard as 945GCT, Can I restore
the backuped images based on that platform (the harddisk is not changed)? If
I can , what can I do for it? And what are the steps? I really don't want to
re-install the windowsXP , the updates and all the application software any
more.

You can use your existing HD in the new system, but you need to do AT LEAST
a repair install of XP on it.
And that way you'll lose all WinUpdates, but all apps should be fine..
