I searched this folder on the internet but couldn't find any information
about it. It is located under C:/ and it contains "mrt.exe" and "mrtstub.exe".

Is there someone who has this same unknown folder in his computer who can
explain to me its function, if it is legitimate or not?

Those files belong to the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool. Perhaps
you or someone else using the computer manually installed it. You can
remove the folder or leave it there since it is tiny and not a threat.

It you start getting a lot of these, chances are you have a software
distribution push AND you do not have the MSIEXEC 3.x update installed. The
install fails, usually hangs a msiexec, and creates a random folder. Patch
to new version of MSIExec, restart (about only way to kill the processes
cleanly, but you can try killing them with Process Explorer). Cleanup after
that.
