On my granddaughters laptop she gets BSOD after windows loads. The

initial problem was when searching on internet window would freeze and

she had to power down. She tried system restore, but, she couldn't get

it to run. She then went to safe mode and did a system restore. Then

she started getting the BSOD. Unfortunately she couldn't go back to

previous restore point? Apparently if you do system restore in safe mode

you can't go back to previous restore point.

I am able to start Windows OK in Safe mode. I tried unchecking all (half

at a time) startup programs, but , still get BSOD. Tried system restore

no change. She hasn't installed any programs or hardware recently.

Listed below is error message info:

BCP4: FFFFF80001E94500

OS Version: 6_0_6001

Service Pack: 1_0

Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:

C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini052710-01.dmp

C:\Users\bruha family\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-89466-0.sysdata.xml

C:\Users\bruha family\AppData\Local\Temp\WERCBC.tmp.version.txt

Appreciate any help on this, she has college classes this afternoon and

she needs her computer.

Win Vista

Dell Inspiron 1545

3GB Ram

64bit

See the following . It can be a few different issues or a single one that you are

experiencing. Most likely issue would be a driver

http://aumha.org/a/stop.php#0x0a

How to find which driver. Read how to use it beforehand

Start\Run\verifier

No, that's not so. System Restore is System Restore. There's another

problem, such as she only had the given restore point, and no earlier ones,

in the first place. It could have been worse - I've had all of my restore

points go away for no discernible reason, like once when I uninstalled a

trial version of Acronis True Image :-(

Or did you mean return to the state prior to the restore? That shouldn't be

a problem either. That behavior could be part of the original blue-screen

problem.
