Hello all, new member here! 
I'm pretty new to the world of linux, but am loving every minute of it!
Anyway, on to the issue. I am trying to install Ubuntu 12.04 on my Gateway NE56R41u laptop. The only issue I am having is the fact that I don't have any brightness controls. The FN keys will bring up a brightness control bar on the screen, however, the brightness just stays on 100%. I have tried anything and everything, so my question to you guys is do you have any ideas? Really hoping to get it working on here, as I and sick and tired of Windows 8! Thanks guys!
