boot up problem

i recently reinstaled windows xp home form a shop, the problem that i am now
having is when i start up it gets to just b4 the blue welcome screen and the
screen just goes black and stays that way then i would need to cut the power
to the pc and start again then it migth work it may take a thrid go,plz can
someone help.the man in the shop said it may do that but i would like it not
to happen at all.

1) Is English your primary language? If not, disregard what follows.

2) Learn to spell, paragraph and punctuate - and don't use the cutesy
chat abbreviations - it will make your question SO much more readable.

The man at the shop did you a disservice. There is almost certainly a
problem with your hardware, especially if this is a fresh new installation
of XP. The man didn't do the job properly and you should take it back. If it
turns out to be faulty hardware (and not just faulty drivers or
configuration), he should diagnose that for you and offer a solution, even
if it's to trash the system and go out an buy a new one. At the very least,
he owes you a refund.
