Is there anyway to download, and save bookmarks? A lot of important (to me)
web sites can be lost if you have a bad crash.

Bookmarks (what they are called in various browsers other than IE) are
usually stored in the coreesponding user's folder for that applications.

Favorited (what they are called in IE) can be found and copied for backups
from:

Start button --> RUN --> type in:

favorites

Click OK.

That opens (and shows you) the location where your Internet Favorites
(Bookmarks) are stored for Internet Explorer.

Copy them as you need to.

For your "bookmarks", which are your Favorites in IE6, use
IE-File-Export and create a single HTML file for later use with
IE-File-Import.

Back up the Favorites Folder. Click File, Import and Export and find
your way to "Export Favorites".

What I do and I have been collecting Favorites for 15 years (boy do I have a
lot of them), every once in a while I zip or rar the Favorites file and back
it up to CD/DVD. Now if needed I can decompress that file. I may lost a
few since the last backup, but that would be very few.
Good Luck
