Hi
Recently I was running my virus scanner and we had a power failure. Now
whenever i turn my system on I get a blue screen that says STOP: 0x00000024
(0x00190203, 0x8676c248, 0xc0000102, 0x00000000) and it tells me to reboot
the system but i keep getting that error. I tried booting it in safe mode,
safe mode with the dos prompt, last known good configuration but i still keep
getting that blue screen. Any advice?

How to Recover from a Corrupted Registry -config-system:

Thanks for the response but i tried to do as the link suggested but after i
put in the XP disk and load my computer i'm able to get through all the
prompts fine but when i get to the point where it says to press R to to start
recovery i get blank blue screen that says at the bottom Estimating but
nothing happens. I'm using a XP upgrade cd. Should i be using something
else. My computer didn't come with a XP startup disk.. I also tried
starting it up to the dos prompt to run chkdsk but I am unable to. I used my
norton cd which brought me to the A: prompt but it won't allow me to use cd\
to change to the c: prompt.

The Recovery Console prompt would let you try to repair the hard drive with
the command.

chkdsk /R

I don't have a floppy drive on my computer. It's farely new about a year
old, Dell 5100C with windows xp preinstalled. I'm gonna try the recovery
console again as before i left it for 30minutes after typing R and nothing
happened.
