Looking for the best iPad apps to help you cook the perfect Thanksgiving feast? From Turkey recipes to cooking times, safety tips to side dishes, a lot of work goes into what you serve your family, friends, and loved ones. With the iPad and some great apps, you can keep all the information you need right at your fingertips, and make sure you put together the best Thanksgiving ever!

Cook

Cook is a beautiful cooking app that serves two purposes. The first is that you get your very own cookbook that you can keep track of your own recipes in. You can control who can see your content or share it publicly. There are also tons of other recipe books to browse by others and by the Cook team. From desserts to main courses and more, you'll find lots of unique recipes for every category. Cook also supports Handoff so if someone sends you a Cook recipe, you can pick it up right on your iPad in the app.

For a way to not only browse new recipes, but to record and share your own, Cook may be just what you're looking for.

Paprika

Paprika is a recipe manager that lets you search virtually any site on the web for recipes to save. Just use in the-app web browser to search what you're looking for. Once you find it Paprika will automatically pull out the recipe and save it to your recipe manager. You can then categorize recipes, rate them, and more. You even have a built-in calendar to use as a meal planner, a shopping list, and cloud sync so all your stuff is available across devices.

If you're good at browsing the web for the recipes you need and like the option of a native Mac app, Paprika's what you want.

Zest

Zest is a recipe manager much like Paprika where you can clip recipes from anywhere on the web. Just search for what you'd like from any of the supported sites and import it. The main difference between the two is that Zest is completely free to download and use, but if you want cloud sync, you'll have to pay a subscription. Paprika is a paid app but offers cloud sync for free once you purchase.

If you want some of the same freedom to choose recipes Paprika offers and don't need syncing services, Zest may be a good free option.

Foodie Recipes

Foodie Recipes is one of my favorite options around the holidays because they always update each year with a great selection dedicated to the holidays. This Thanksgiving is no exception and contains 40 hand picked recipes selected specifically for Thanksgiving. However, don't expect Foodie to dish up your regular turkey and stuffing recipes. All the meals you'll find from soups, sides, salads, and main courses are all unique and take new approaches to classic dishes.

If you're looking to be a little more adventurous this Thanksgiving, Foodie Recipes may have exactly what you're looking for.

Healthy Desserts

Healthy Desserts is a cooking app that focuses on nothing but everyone's favorite part of the meal, but with a healthy twist. Not only will you find healthier alternatives to classic desserts, you'll find vegan and gluten free options too. You can even choose to filter out recipes that contain one or the other if you wish. With beautiful pictures and easy to follow recipes, you are sure to find something your family will love.

For those that want lighter or healthier dessert options to put on the table, Healthy Desserts has a great selection.

Pinterest

There isn't much these days that you can't find on Pinterest these days, and while it isn't technically a cooking app, it does a great job at doubling as one. Just search for whatever recipe you're looking for and you may be surprised by what Pinterest turns up. From dessert recipes to DIY centerpiece ideas, Pinterest can be a one stop holiday guide for many folks.

If you're looking for unique and interesting recipes, look no further than Pinterest to help make your Thanksgiving dish stand out.
