If you're looking for the best iPhone apps to help you take advantage of all the new camera features that iOS 8 offers, you've come to the right place. For times when you want to adjust exposure on the fly, or have complete control over things like shutter speed and white balance, you'll need to turn to an App Store app to fill your needs. Now thanks to iOS 8, third party camera apps have even more potential than ever. These are currently the camera apps we find best take advantage of all iOS 8 has to offer!

VSCO Cam

VSCO Cam now offers manual camera controls for focus, shutter speed, white balance, and exposure compensation. Just launch the camera portion of VSCO Cam and then tap the settings gear in the top left. You can then toggle in the bottom navigation between all the different live controls and change them to your liking. You can also choose to use auto settings for some and not others, which comes in handy when you're only having a problem balancing one particular setting.

If you want an easy to use camera app that gives you more power than the default, VSCO Cam does just that in conjunction with some of the best filter choices available.

Pro Camera 8

Pro Camera has been one of my favorite replacement camera apps for a long time, mainly due to the tremendous amount of edits you can perform within one app. Now with its newest iteration, Pro Camera 8, you can manually control white balance and exposure. Not only that, there is also a new feature called vividHDR that helps you create even more amazing HDR photos than ever before. Bundle this with all the editing and advanced features Pro Camera offers, and you've got almost as much control as you do over a DSLR!

If you want the most advanced camera controls available combined with incredibly powerful HDR options, look no further than Pro Camera 8.

Manual

Manual offers just what the name implied, manually camera settings. In this case, you can adjust shutter, ISO, white balance, focus, and exposure compensation. I'm particularly fond of the way you can simply swipe up or down on any control to change it or hold down to turn it to auto. As you change any of these settings, you can also see what aperture your iPhone is going to pair it with, which can be useful for certain settings. After taking an image, you can see in-app all information on what settings were used in just a tap.

For a beautifully designed manual control camera app that's powerful and straight forward, be sure to check out Manual.

Camera+

Camera+ has long been a favorite camera replacement app for many iPhone users and with manual controls in live mode, it's gotten even better. As always, you can touch to focus but set a separate exposure point if you'd like. You can also change shutter speed, exposure control, and more. The best thing about Camera+ is that those not terribly familiar with photography terminology can still find it easy to use while those that want granular control can easily have it, and both audiences will end up with great photos.

If you want manual control options but not at the sake of usability, or if you're relatively new to manual controls, Camera+ offers a great learning environment through excellent live previews and menu layouts.
