the "Geek Squad" at Best? Buy will install ubuntu for $130 !

hahaha...a "free" OS for 130 bucks.

Sounds like they don't need to sell M&M's for 20 bucks, they found a
better gimmick.

That's what alias does. He sells free software to unsuspecting little
ol'ladies!
He is a thief.

You got it backwards butt-munch. Most people who try linux scream "what
a POS toy os this is" and never try it again.
Linux has left a legacy of dissatisfied users who will never try it again.
And after 10 yrs of sampling various distros, I'm one of them.

Actually the Best Buy stores I've visited DO sell candy and magazines
and assorted other non electronic stuff. Were you trying to make a
point?

The sun rises in the East. Any more useful information you need to
share we already know?

Memo to Hobbes: If you're trying to join the Useful Idiots Club by
public audition, you're doing a pretty good job of showing how stupid
you are and thereby qualify to join. I'm sure if you ask Frank
directly he will welcome you with open arms.

Point being....sit down and get comfy, this may take you awhile....Best Buy

Just because they sell it, doesn't make it "GOOD", they sell rap music too.

Just how old are you ?

Adam is in his early 60's but his IQ is in the 17-20 range. That includes
some bonus points.

You're babbling. You know that don't you?

The point that zooms over your pointy head is Best Buy like any
retailer will sell ANYTHNG that sells. Duh... is that too deep for you
to grasp? If you don't like rap music or Linux, so what, others will
and so they will sell it until that changes. You too stupid to realize
it but you actually agree with me.

Write this down and try to remember: Different strokes for different
folks. This may shock you. Some people don't like Windows. Understand
yet? No of course you don't. You're just as hopeless as Frank and
can't be reasoned with.

More choices is a GOOD thing. Why are you against that?

Here's something for you to chew on. I don't give a rat's ass what you
or anyone uses. Pick Windows, Linux, hell pick a flavor of UNIX or try
BeOS or something else, I DON'T CARE!

One thing that will for sure cause me to get up on your back and ride
you till you drop as Frank is learning is once any of your idiots
start wagging your tongue trying to piss on any alternative or make
fun of others I'll do the same to you. Surprise, I'm way better at it.
Way, way better. A smarter person would wise up.

If they install are they going to provide support for it too? I doubt any
numbnut down at BestBuy knows much about Linux. Ubuntu don't provide
support.

How many Linux versions was *any* store selling when XP came out?

That's the point, moron. Best Buy is about as computer clueless a store
that you can find and even they are offering Ubuntu. It's the sign of the
times.

BTW, Mr Reading Comprehension Impaired, they are selling support, not the
OS.

And your proof of this is? None? Everyone act surprised. I have installed
Ubuntu for ONE little old lady and, two years later, she is very pleased
with it, thank you very much, liar. I charged her for the installation,
not the OS, liar.

Sorry, Frank, but you don't count and, once again, you're lying through
your teeth.

No, that would be Frank, Bill and Spanky. Please try to keep up.

I can see you, like Frank, Bill and Spanky, didn't read the article:

"To produce the boxed set, Ubuntu and Canonical partnered with software
retailer ValuSoft, a division of THQ Inc. in Chaska, Minn., which sells a
wide range of inexpensive software titles in many retail stores.
Canonical trained the support staff at ValuSoft to provide support for
Ubuntu, and Canonical support people are ready to assist with any
escalated problems, he said."

Oops.

Well duh, they don't know much about Windows either, but that doesn't
stop them from selling that.

Oh, a cliche from our resident moron, how cute.
