Sharing extensions, part of Apple's Extensibility feature in iOS 8, makes it easier than ever to share content. Ever want to share something directly from Safari to one of your App Store apps? Well now you can, thanks to the new sharing options iOS 8 brought with it. However, as most new features, developers have to support them for you to take advantage of them. These are currently the App Store apps we think have done an exception job of implementing sharing extensions in iOS 8!

Pinterest

Anyone who is familiar with Pinterest will tell you that finding and sharing pins prior to iOS 8 wasn't all that much fun. You'd need to copy or paste a URL to your clipboard and then go back into the Pinterest app and copy from your clipboard. Thanks to sharing extensions, you can now use system wide share sheets to share to Pinterest from virtually anywhere.

Whether someone texts you a photo you want to pin or you find something in Safari, Pinterest is better than ever thanks to its updated sharing options.

Evernote

If you use Evernote to store photos, text notes, checklists, and more, you'll appreciate the new ways you can easily add content to your account from anywhere. Just tap the Share button in pretty much any app, or within Safari, and tap the Evernote option. You can then title your note and choose a notebook and your content will be there waiting next time you launch Evernote.

Evernote users should be ecstatic about system wide share options for even easier content saving.

Pocket

Pocket is an incredibly popular read it later service that lets you save news stories and other kinds of content to your account for when you have time to come back to them. Prior to iOS 8, you had to rely on other developers supporting export to Pocket options. Now thanks to sharing extensions, you can save virtually anything you'd like to Pocket in two taps.

If you use Pocket, sharing content to it from anywhere just became a reality.

Instapaper

Instapaper is another read it later service similar to Pocket but takes a more basic approach, which users that prefer a more newspaper style experience may prefer. With sharing extensions, Instapaper lets you save articles, URLs, and any other kind of content to your account no matter where you are.

If you want a simple read it later option that lets you clip from anywhere, Instapaper is one of the best.

Day One

If you're looking for a journaling app, Day One is one of the best options so far under iOS 8. You can now share photo entries right from the Photos app and it immediately becomes an entry when using the Share button. You can also copy and import URLs and other content to Day One without ever having to open the actual app.

For journaling that's truly on the go, check out Day One's new update for iOS 8 and sharing.
