Hi,

I am trying to utilise the System Hibernate function in the Power Options
Properties so that after X ammount of time the PC will go into hibernation.

The problem is, when there is multiple (3) programs open the PC does not
automatically go into hibernation. It will only automatically does it when
there is 1 certain program open or none at all.

Out of the three programs, one is a PDF that is located on a network, one is
a dictionary software running from the network. The third program is the one
that allows the auto hibernation, which is a logon screen for another network
application.

I have noted that once i have logged on that piece of software the auto
hibernation does not work. I have tried other networked software and had the
same problem.

I have tried opening non-networked items and had no problem (notepad,
calculator, paint, date/time)...

Although I was able to log on a Citrix session on the network and the auto
hibernation worked...

I am able to manually hibernate by going to start/shutdown and selecting
hibernate.
The software doesnt bring the PC under heavy load.
I am also having similar problems with XP.

The computers had 20gig HDD's but only 5 gig is used up. The PCs only have
256mb ram installed.

Is there a way to get the automated process to work when anything is open?
it seems that it doesnt like to do it with networked items.

Sorry for the long post, and if its in the wrong section :)

Happy New Year all!
Chris
