Having trouble with my vista pc:

Audio channels are solid, meaning when I put the right balance all the
way over, both speakers are still powered but only the right channel is
coming out of them. If I put it all the way to the left, all speakers
are powered but just the left channel is coming out.

Have a creative sub woofer system hooked up to the computer from one
line out. The other line out goes to an upstairs amplifier. It's
recieving the same issue with balance. It's def an internal software
prob (or hardware prob)

Everything is hooked up correctly... I am very experienced with wiring
so this is not the problem.

Using Sigma Tel High Def Audio codec.... updated the driver... did
nothing for my problem.

Balance is correctly set in properties... i just don't get it...

Hei,
sorry, i've no help to offer. ran into your post looking for answers myself.
hope you don't mind me asking you instead - where excactly do you adjust
your speckers balance? i got vista home premium, and I can't find it anywhere
- volume mixer, playback devices properties and configure - nowhere.
since you seem to have done so, i'd appreciate your help.
thanks,
s

Depends on your system. I can set balance in the Manager for my Realtek HD,
and media players like Winamp, QCD, etc.
