all new to me

I currently run Trend Micro it notified me of three viruses in the
solution section it diected me to download security updates. I then went to
Microsoft download center and followed the instructions for the security
updates that were suggested. According to the Download center all three
downloaded. However, when I checked Microsoft Security update log they were
not listed as that they were downloaded.

Any sugestions?

Are the three updates offered to you at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com?

Run this and it will scan your pc and in results list every and any
Windows Update you may be missing and also gives other feedback for
security areas:

Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer V1.2.1 (working-freeware, works
on home PC) [Run and will display any missing Windows Updates]
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/tools/mbsahome.mspx
MBSA 1.2.1 is the free, best practices vulnerability assessment tool
for the Microsoft platform the tool helps with the assessment phase of
an overall security management strategy. MBSA Version 1.2.1 includes a
graphical and command line interface that can perform local or remote
scans of Windows systems. MBSA 1.2.1 runs on: Windows 2000, Windows
XP, and Windows Server 2003 systems.

NOTE.... There is s newer Version 2 - couple months ago now.

PS.... This is free from Microsoft and does not lie. If you are not
missing Updates then there is some other problem as to the display of
that you need to deal with - like there may be up to 10 or 20 pages of
listed installed updates. Have you checked them all ???/
