Long ago, I removed my TV card and tried to uninstall the ATI software.
But everytime my system starts up several errors are put in the event log.
They all mention "Counldn't start ATI Wonder ..." . Can anyone point me
to a registry script that will clean these messages out? ATI never
responded to a message to them. TIA

Sounds like lingering services and or drivers. For the drivers. Try starting
safe mode and remove the hardware from Device Manager

To display hidden devices, non-Plug and Play devices, and devices not
attached to the computer (commonly known as "ghosted" or "phantom" devices)
Save the following two lines as a file then execute.

--------------------------setdev.bat---------------------
set DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1
start devmgmt.msc
---------------------------------------------------------

For the services if you can identify them remove them from the services
subkey.

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

(always have on hand registry backups and know how to use them)

If add/remove hasnt worked, and your are not comfortable with editing the
registry, there used to be a vid driver removal tool available, from a vid
card user group/forum, but I've a feeling this is now a pay for utility

Yes I can understand that. You get quite a few drivers from that card and
they are set to load almost immediately. What you can do is reboot your
machine in Safe Mode but select to Confirm each device to load. You should
see that driver load that is causing the error and you can just remove it.
It should have ati in the name.
