Recently my computer has been acting up by just shutting down, restarting, and repeating that. I decided to reformat my hard drive and use my restore discs hoping it would fix the problem. I have an eMachines T2460 by the way. I have added hardware to my computer, a DVD burner, and an ATI All-In-Wonder 9000 AGP slot card. But these have been in for a few months without causing problems. Since restoring and reformating, it has continued to happen, not as often, but the error message I get when it finally restarts is "C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini020904-05.dmp" and
"C:\DOCUME~1\BIGSHO~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER5.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml" At least 3 or 4 of these come up each time with some different numbers but always minidump and documents and settings files. I takled to eMachines and they said it could be a hardware problem, but they didn't know with what. Just wondering if anyone had any advice or the same problem and what they did.

I believe its either a CPU or GPU overheating. Have you over-clocked the PC at all?
i'd agree. try relaxing your overclock, that is if you are overclocking, and make sure your intake fan/s are cleared of dust. depending on the last time you cleaned it, i'd go ahead and blow out the gpu, your hsf, and any case fans.
