I recently purchased a new PC with a trial version of McAfee installed. I want to revert to Windows Defender instead of buying McAfee.
Most of my research indicates that WD only protects against malware/spyware - not viruses. However, some posters think WD is sufficient, but suggest augmenting it by running malwarebytes occasionally. I like malwarebytes, but I'm confused, as it's the anti-virus element that seems to be missing from the equation.
