Another security update for Windows 10 build 10240 (KB3074681) rolls out as release date nears

If you are running Windows 10 build 10240, you are probably wondering why your PC either rebooted to install an update or took longer than expected to boot due to the installation of an update. That's because Microsoft rolled out another security update today (yes, on a Saturday). I noticed it yesterday when my system shutdown as I was in the middle of working on the site backups. System went into reboot and update mode. For some reason it thought 3AM was 3PM and decided to finish the updates.

Mine came through today.
I wondered why it started to install an update when I closed it down earlier.

This actually shows up how bad the no choice about updates regime is, serious workflow has been interrupted in one case here, and could be disastrous for others. Microsoft want a serious kicking for removing the choice of whether or when to install updates.
I do hope that decision is reversed, or if not, that some third party app is introduced by someone that can stall the updates till you have time to install and monitor the progress of them. Or better, refuse those that others have found troublesome.
