(I posted this problem first in the xp.help_and_support forum but got no
relpies. I apologize for repeating it here in this forum, but I really need
some help.)

SYSTEM: Window XP Home - SP2 - with ALL of the updates

I am suddenly getting (several times a week) an error window stating that
Dr. Watson has encountered an error and must close. I usually end up having
to log off and then back on again as the systems seems to hang after I
acknowledge the error.

Through the Control Panel/Admin. Tools/Event viewer, the 'error' description
was that the faulting application was 'drwtsn32.exe' and the faulting module
was 'dbhelp.dll', and something about the 'data base being locked'. I
searched the system drive for that particular .dll and I have five or six
copies (different version numbers) in various places. But I wonder if I can
replace the one that Dr. Watson needs and will that cure my problems?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

Various tasks, recently, I had just finished copying file to an external
hard drive. But it has happened while logging off the internet. It has
happened while working with my video editing software. Not just one program
everytime.
