I am sure the folks in the Mugabe NG would love that info...its of no use
here..

but maybe they should buy better servers....??

I already have it installed, that is not the problem that I am having,
just fyi. The problem is that so many people are trying to install it
using the Upgrade install method, that whenever I try to add software
using Add/Remove Programs, the U.S.A. download server is not responding
to the download request, I had to switch to the Main download server in
Europe in order to get both Mozilla Thunder Bird and Opera Installed,
just fyi.

I was just trying to let every one know the Open Source Linux Ubuntu
7.10 is a whole lot more popular than they think it is, just fyi.

can you tell me "for my information" why you keep saying FYI?

its more annoying than UAC on vista! lol

I downloaded it today at about 3Mb/s so the server I used wasn't overloaded.

Having downloaded and run 7.10 I can say that most of them will be
disappointed.
Same old applications doing the same old job.
The only thing new are a few bug fixes and more window manger "features"
that aren't used when you are doing actual work.

And it still has that annoying feature where you have to enter your password
every time you want to change a config. -)

I was referring to the U.S.A. 7.10 Upgrade Installation and Add/Remove
Programs Download Server which is definitely overloaded, and now the
Main Download Server in Europe is overloaded as well, just fyi.

And it doesn't support near the same amount of hardware that Windows
does.

P.S. The Upgrade Process Download On The 2nd Of My 3 Computer's Is
Downloading At Approx. 25 to 50 KB's A Second, And I Originally Started
The Download Earlier This Morning (Chicago Time Zone), It Is Now Almost
19 Hundred Hour's (Chicago Military Time Zone) And The Download Is Still
Continuing At A Snail's Pace, This Is Likely Going To Be An Over Night
Upgrade Process, Just FYI.

And Vista still has that annoying feature where you have to click "Allow"
5 times every time you want to actually do something on your computer. -)

I still don't appear to suffer from that.
True I may have a UAC prompt a few times a day on odd days but that's it.
I would love to know what the people that complain about UAC are doing to
get it all the time but they never say even when asked.

The only one that annoyed me was one startup program that needs UAC
approval.. that annoyed me as it asked every time I logged on.
It doesn't now as I don't log off and I only get asked it maybe every 7-10
days if I reboot after doing an install or something similar.

Hahaha well I just simply couldn't resist with the comment.

That said, I think it's safe to say that I get less sudo prompts than you
get UAC prompts )
