Hi,
Is it possible to configure windows server 2000 or 2003 to only allow
a given port to be used by a given application, e.g. application named
fred can only use port 123 and no other application can ever use port
123.
The reason for this is that occasionaly the application must be taken
down and during this time other applications can grab the port so when
fred comes back up it cannot run on that port.
I am not a server expert and it is not my applications, but a client
was experiencing this situation and I thought I would ask around if
there was such a configuration that could be put in place.
Thanks,
Nate
