Hi Guys...

Have been installing a lot of new software and my ALL PROGRAMS MENU (Windows
XP Home) is now in a bit of a clutter.. Be great if the area was a lot larger.

I know it is possible to tidy this up but I have simply forgotten how to do
this 'old age I guess' It was much easier to organise on the earlier versions
of Windows.

I am pretty sure there is a folder somewhere on my hard drive that just
needs tweaking all I need is your help to find it... Any Takers Cpl Jock

open windows explorer

go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs

You can now create folders and move the shortcuts as you wish. For example
create a folder called Picture Software and move all the software shortcuts
for picture viewing and editing in to it. Then do the same for Music
Software and whatever other categories make sense to you. I'v got my root
menu fown to 11 folders and five shortcuts despite over 200 installed
programs and it is much faster to find this way.
