Hello,
I'm running Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 3) and last night my computer did an automatic update that required a reboot. When I logged in this morning I found that I can no longer access the internet. I'm using a wired connection as my desktop does not have wireless.
I have confirmed that the connection to the router is functioning properly with another computer and that I do indeed have internet access - checked using a laptop, another desktop and a tablet.
I've done some internet searches to find a remedy - so far without any luck. I've tried to reboot the machine 3 times but that hasn't helped either.
I'm hoping that someone has a suggestion for me.
I can only conclude that the issue is with the update as I was using the desktop to surf prior to going to bed.
Thanks in advance. This was the only Forum Category that was labelled Windows XP so I apologize in advance if it is in the wrong forum.
