I just installed my second Windows 8 OS at home, had also done one at work.
The first was a 'from scratch', the second an upgrade but 'leave nothing'
The last one an upgrade and leave everything.
But this last one comes up with the 'blueish/green' splash screen and has 'Press Ctrl Alt Del to sign in' in the top left corner.
And indeed only then (not after a mouse click) the actual login screen appears. The first two don't have that. just a mouse click is enough to get the login screen.
Why the difference?
