Adobe Windows pop-up "Fake" Up-date

As I started up my PC to go into Windows 7, a Pop-Up appeared in Windows of an official looking "Adobe Update" indicating a new update was available. I clicked OK download update.. Then, all of my Desktop and Programs Icons changed to a Paint Icon everywhere in Windows. My F-Secure then came on and indicate a "FAKE ADOBE" was detected and it removed it automatically. It requested I Restart my PC to remove the malware. After restarting my PC, all of my desktop icons still had the Paint icon.. If I tried to open "ANYTHING" from my "Desktop Icon" or from in "All Programs", I got an "Exclamation Window".. It indicated "Paint cannot read this file.. This is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is not currently supported".. I did notice every time I tried to open a program, the last characters in the command ended in ".Ink".. (Example: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Progams\Uniblue\Powersuite\Powersuite.Ink) I tried deleting programs and re-installing them.. I get the same problem. If I log into my PC as a visitor, I do not have the problems..
