Hello all:

Our current network has two Windows 2000 Server DCs. We just purchased a
third server with Windows 2003 Server. What is the best way to replicate the
active directory database and other settings to the new domain controller?

Thanks.

You need to run adprep first on a 2000 dc to extend the schema before
promoting a 2003 server

Thanks for the info.

Do we run the 32-bit version of the adprep app even though our 2003 servers
is x64?

yes
you would have to use adprep on the x86 cd for the 2000 box since the x64
version obviously won't work there
