Try the many suggestions here. Scroll down to the Add/Remove Programs

Elmo, thanks for the help, but it did not work. Downloaded the file and ran
it, it said white space removed, but still will not populate.

Try to run a scan for malware and viruses then open a run command and type in:
sfc /scannow click [OK] let it run, it will may be ask you for the XP CD
installation media so get it ready.

I have read and tried everything listed in this forum. Add/Remove still not
populating. Wife purchased the computer last August, we did not receive any
startup disks. The cleanboot is too complicated for me right now, guess I am
going to have to call the Geek Squad. Thanks a million for all your help.

HP Pavilian XP SP2 Media Addition which I did not include earlier. Learning.

Before you go spending money on Geek Squad, wait a little longer for a
solution. In the mean time you can use this free app that will do and is the
same thing as Add/Remove.It's called MyUninstaller and you can get it here.

If you do decide to pay for someone to help you, stay as far away as
possible from the Geek Squad (or any of the other big chains). They
are the worst possible sources of help.

Instead, look for an independent local service shop, preferably one
that's been recommended by others in your area. If you have a local PC
Users Group, that's a good place to go for recommendations.
