Hello friendly helpers^^

Problem is I only see Set Program Access and Defaults under my add/remove
program in control panel.

The second issue is my automatic update for Windows is broken! I will click
on it to update, and it'll just sit there and spin. I"m pretty sure the two
are connected. Once I restore my add/remove problem.

I've tried the run cmd /scannow feature, and some of my protected files have
been tampered with, however it tells me to use "Windows Media Install CD2"...
which Dell never gave me. Is there a way to get these files so I can replace
them? Even though scannow doesn't tell me what files are corrupted. ; ;

Thanks for reading!!

Before attempting any other fixes, you might want to run Microsoft's Free
Viral Scan

Boot system normally and run Microsoft's virus detection software.

No virus's were found. Another problem I see is that whenever I try to
restart it hangs up during the "Windows is shutting down." Everythings the
same still. Btw I messed up my System Restore chance, I restored it, but
since it hangs up during the restarting phase, it nulled it out and wiped my
Restore Saves.
