action cancelled, please contact your system admininstrator??

all of a sudden, my desktop background has changed so i tried to go to
control panel to fix it, howver, that option is now gone from My Computer. ?
so i go a different way and when i click to change displany settings, a
dialog box opens that tells me "This action has been cancelled due to
restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system
administrator." never seen this before. help??

Unless you have reinstalled the system , you have probably got malware
..
 
i'm a novice....what's malware and how do i get rid of it?? thanks

The term "malware" is short for "malicious software." It comes in two
general types:

1. Viruses, Trojans, worms, etc

2. Spyware and Adware (what is often termed "non-viral" malware).

I recommend that you go to Malke's Malware Removal site at
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware and
follow the instructions there.
