Acronis 2014 Plus Free Anime Studio 9 With Purchase - $20.00

Just fix and simplify the damn product and I might buy it again....when you use Macrium, all that silliness just makes no sense to go back to.
It was a great product that is self destructing!

Beta I wouldn't even use a release version...are you for real. Make sure you use a pc you don't care about. I don't have extras this year like I used to as I have needed to sell everything that will boot and have no bench machine or spares anymore.

I used to be like that but Macrium and my server changed me...I can be back with a minimum of fuss in 8 minutes and files are on a 32 Gb ram double Intel Zeon cpu HP Proliant Server so what am I really risking? Not good enough well I have a Netgear NAS drive with a cpu and memory behind that. And with Macrium I don't have to pray that the image file restores like I did when I had Acronis. Macrium will make an image file on a bad hard drive which Acronis won't do and it can even restore to a bad hard drive. It works flawlessly in Windows 8 and 8.1 which Acronis still doesn't do and it doesn't take 10 minutes to sift through a pile of meaningless options like you do on Acronis in order to do anything. I feel with Macrium like I used to with Drive Image( where I was a bored beta tester) and actually through 8 years of Acronis use I never had the confidence I do now. Macrium never blows away the MBR and installs it back without asking you if you want it which is idiotic. Macrium is headquartered in England where you can understand tech support if you need it though I have never had to call whereas Acronis is in Russia, need I say more? I think I will contact Macrium and do beta testing for them though I am not sure they have any.

What I realized with bench machines is when I used a hunk of crap like Dan did, every time I went to use it it took me hours to make it do anything because I had to do so much to be able to use it. After years of that I finally built a bench box almost as hot as my main desktop and I looked at it lonely on the bench with nothing to do because I had stopped bringing client pc's back to work on them and also coincidentally stopped testing software and hardware. I had become so much better at fixing their pcs quickly on site so as to save an extra 2 trips and time. So when a good client had an immediate need, off it went! Then I built another one and the same thing happened. BTW the other problem beta testing with it is I realized with a minimum of programs, it really wasn't a representative environment of the average pc to test anything with.
In short I decided it added a whole pile of time unnecessarily to my day to keep it being what it should be.
