Hi there, I'm really in need of help.
the other day my laptop froze, would not respond to anything. I powered off and left it. later when i tried to restart it i had a multitude of issues.
It loads the Acer screen then it shows the start up options screen. It offers Safe mode, Safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, start up from last known working configuration and start windows normally. None of those options work.
When I try to start in any of the safe modes, it lists tons of codes(?) then either goes black or flashes a blue screen. It only shows the blue screen long enough so that I can't read a thing it says.
If I start normally, it loads the Windows XP window, then after a while goes black and restarts. If I try the last know working configuration, it just goes black.
I tried re-seating the ram, made sure all the connections on the hardware were still making good contact. My laptop is running Xp with SP3. which I just installed the other day and seemed to slow the system down a bit.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
